TITLE OF POSITION: Assistant Coach (Domestic Recruiting) – Women’s Basketball

DEPARTMENT: Athletics

POSITION REPORTS TO: Head Coach / Women’s Basketball

OVERVIEW:

Manhattan College, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking a qualified candidate for a 12 month, full-time position as Women's Basketball Assistant Coach. The Assistant Coach leads the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball program by recruiting and developing qualified student-athletes, supervising assistant coaches, and organizing schedules. The assistant coach must conduct the program in a manner that recognizes the primacy of academics by recruiting, supporting, and retaining student-athletes who will be competitive in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The assistant coach must ensure that the Women's Basketball program operates in compliance with all College, MAAC and NCAA rules and regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of full-time prior experience at the Division I level.

• Assertive, outgoing, hard-working and resourceful.

• Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships and create partnerships with a wide range of constituent groups.

• Ability to design marketing materials; proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Photoshop preferred.

• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

• Possess a valid driver's license.

• Required to travel and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail and keep specific timelines.

• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to problem solve.

• Ability to work effectively with coaches, students, faculty, administration, alumni, and community.
