JOB DUTIES:

40% - Essential - Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Salesforce Reports and Dashboards) to support department reporting requirements. These dashboards should enable stakeholders to quickly assess performance metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. These reports should summarize findings, highlight opportunities for growth, and provide actionable recommendations.

15% - Essential - Collaboration and Project Management: Serve as a liaison to departments within Clemson Athletics to understand their data needs and support them with data-driven insights.

30% - Essential - Data Analysis and Insights Generation: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from various sources within the athletics department. Analyze complex datasets with statistical methods to uncover patterns, correlations, and insights that can inform strategies to increase revenue, operational efficiency, and department performance.

15% - Essential - Develop data infrastructure: Through data engineering and database administration, assist in building critical database infrastructure that support analysis and reporting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree

Experience - Relevant experience with either building Tableau (or similar platform) dashboards OR writing SQL queries for data extraction OR utilizing R or Python for data science and wrangling; Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.

Work Experience - 1+ years building and deploying dashboards in Tableau and writing SQL queries to extract data. Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Master's Degree - mathematics, statistics, computer science, business, or other related discipline.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Expected salary range: ($ 37,860.00 - $ 55,000.00)

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
