The Athletic Equipment Manager procures, directs, and coordinates a variety of duties dealing with the distribution and maintenance of athletic apparel and uniforms for student-athletes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Organizes and manages the equipment room.
Confer with coaches to review student athlete inventory per team and maintenance as well as time schedules for home and away games.
Assembles and issues all practice and game apparel/attire.
Packs all travel bags for away contests.
Oversees the laundering of all items of student-athlete apparel/attire.
Performs necessary inventory of student-athlete apparel/attire and submits a report to the Business office for expensing student accounts.
Completes an annual inventory for Coaches and the Athletic Director.
Develops a strategy/calendar for laundry equipment repair and maintenance and inventory of detergent and solvents.
Knowledge of operating laundering equipment; responsible for safely handling detergents and solvents and storing.
Hires, trains, and supervises student workers. Trains new coaches.
Must have computer knowledge and the ability to learn college-assigned applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
Performing additional duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS:
Indoors in a temperature-controlled environment.
2. May occasionally require the incumbent to perform tasks that can expose you to blood or blood-borne pathogens. Federal regulations require that the incumbent be offered the Hepatitis B vaccine within 10 days of initial assignment and attend a training session before performing any exposure-prone tasks.
