Job Summary

The Athletics Equipment & Facilities Specialist will issue and keep records of athletic equipment, assist in oversight of the pool, make minor repairs to equipment, and maintain laundry operations. The Athletics Facilities & Equipment Specialist is responsible for courteous guest relations to visiting teams and officials and will ensure visitors are comfortable and familiar with the building and sport-specific arena, visitors/officials locker rooms and athletic equipment needed for the event.

Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications

High School/Equivalent 1 year athletic equipment experience Valid US driver’s license Certified Pool Operator license or ability to obtain a Certified Pool Operator license within 6 months of hire Applicants must meet stated minimum education and experience requirements.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of athletic equipment terminology Basic knowledge of the methods, tools, equipment, and materials normally used in maintenance Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends Ability to function independently or as part of a team Ability to work under strict time constraints Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion

Shift

Non Standard Shift: Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Travel

Local travel between campus locations only

Driving

Driving a Rensselaer vehicle for non-passenger use

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $19.20 – $20.70 Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
