Position Summary

The Athletics Department at Bryant University invites applications for a Graduate Assistant to work with the Field Hockey program. Bryant University is an

NCAA

Division I program, sponsoring 25 varsity sports, and is a member of the America East Conference and affiliate members of the

CAA

, Southland, and East Coast Conference. This position reports to the Head Field Hockey Coach.

GA compensation includes a full tuition waiver, housing, and a $1,500.00 stipend per semester starting August 1. Graduate School is a 2-year part-time program beginning August 2024 through August 2026.

Principal Accountabilities

Assist Head Coach in all facets of program including recruitment/retention, assist with essential dally tasks Including meetings, small group training, and collaborating with other offices; Assist with planning and execution of practice and game plans; On and off campus recruiting of prospective student athletes; Film Analysis or team and opponents; Preparation of athletic facilities for practices/competitions; Distribution and ordering of equipment; Assist with Team travel arrangements. Ensure Compliance with an

NCAA

, America East, and Bryant rules and regulations.

This position requires availability on nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Requires an undergraduate degree from an accredited Institution and acceptance into a Bryant Graduate program. Experience playing or coaching field hockey; Knowledgeable about field hockey skill and tactics; Experience supervising or managing young adults; Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability and willingness to travel and work weekends, evenings, and other nontraditional schedules.
